Mrs. Mary Pease Of Colfax Dies Today in Newton
Mrs. Mary Lucille Pease, 72, a longtime resident of Jasper County, passed away this morning at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Mrs. Pease, who has live in Colfax for a number of years, was born Sept. 26, 1891 at Colo, Ia. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McGill.
A longtime resident of the Colfax, Valeria and Colo area, she attended Colfax schools. On June 6, 1916, she was married to Walter Reed Pease at Valeria.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax.
Mrs. Pease was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Ethelbert Heberer of Newton, Mrs. James Rooney of Maxwell, Mrs. Francis McDermott of Newton, Daniel McGill of Colfax, and James McGill of Maxwell.
Services are scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax. The services will be conducted by Rev. Karl Holtkamp. Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.
Rosary will be held at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Walters Funeral Home in Colfax on Sunday.
