Minnie McKeever Dies at Hospital; Rites Wednesday
Colfax – Mrs. Joseph Nathan (Minnie) McKeever, 77, a lifelong resident of the Colfax community, died Monday at the Des Moines General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walters Funeral Home at Colfax.
The Rev. Walter Goughnour, minister of the Prairie City Christian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery near Colfax.
Survivors are two sons, William Henry of Colfax and Fredrick of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Donaldson and Mrs. Norman Pierce, both of Colfax; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
The daughter of Henry and Anna Gibson, she was born June 4, 1889 at Oswalt.
She was married to Joseph Nathan McKeever Dec. 24, 1907 at Colfax.
Mrs. McKeever had resided at the Hillside Rest Home in Colfax for the past five years.
