Mae I. McKeever, 88, of Urbandale Health Care Center, 4614 N.W. 84th St., died of a heart ailment Monday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Unity Lutheran Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.
Mrs. McKeever, a homemaker, was born in Rockford, Ill., and lived in Des Moines area for 65 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Frances Koontz of Des Moines; two brothers, Richard Townsend of Indianola and Keith Townsend of Sherman, Texas; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Social Services for children.
