Services for Benjamin H. McKeever, 78, of 3534 Dubuque Ave., who died of cancer Monday at Des Moines General Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Unity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery near Colfax.
Mr. McKeever, a retired plumber’s helper, was born in Rising Sun and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 738 and Plumbers & Steam Fitters Union Local 33.
Surviving are his wife, Mae; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Kontz of Des Moines; two brothers, Frank and Henry, both of Des Moines, and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Unity Lutheran Church.
The body is at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
