Little Daughter Dies!
The two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Maggard died Monday night after a long illness from diphtheria. She had grown better and it was thought that she would recover, when other complications set in and the little one passed away. The sorrowing parents and other relatives have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
The funeral took place Wednesday and interment was made in the McKeever cemetery.

Resolutions of Respect
Whereas, death has entered the home of one of our Grange families and taken from the home circle, Doris, the little daughter of Brother and Sister Maggard, be it Resolved, that we, the member of the Poweshiek Grange No. 2114, hereby tender our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones, in this their time of sorrow and ask the Heavenly Father to assuage their grief, and cheer the hearts made sad. (There was more of the poem but not included here.)
