Services for Mrs. Betty Jean LePorte, 34, a former Des Moines resident who died in Albuquerque N.M., Friday of gunshot wounds, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Ashton Cemetery in Mingo.
Mrs. LePorte and two others were wounded fatally by a gunman who opened fire in the new Mexico State Employment Office where she was employed.
Born in Des Moines, Mrs. LePorte moved to Albuquerque in 1958. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include daughters Theresa Ann and Deborah, and sons John and Jeffrey, all of Albuquerque; her mother, Mrs. Margaret Bish of Des Moines; her father, Leonard Bish of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Robert Bish of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Clarence Bish of Des Moines; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Logmann of Anaheim, Calif., Mrs. Vivian Oldham of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Josephine Wintermantel of Poway, Calif., and Mrs. Mildred Piper of Orange, Calif.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home.
