Melcher-Dallas, Ia. – Frances Lavon Broughton, 55, of Melcher-Dallas died of cancer Thursday at University Hospitals in Iowa City. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Vandalia Cemetery in Jasper County.
Mrs. Broughton was born in Percy and had been a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; four sons, Kenneth of New Sharon, Jerry and Robert, both of Melcher, and Dennis of Knoxville; two daughters, Katherine Lundy of Harvey and Barb DeMaria of Knoxville; five brothers, Gerald Gulling of Colfax, Floyd Gulling of Texas, Orville Gulling and Edward Gulling, both of Washington state, and Donald of Missouri; four sisters, Ruby Clave of Des Moines, Mae Williams of Colfax, Florence Wardwell of Washington state and Grace Lankford of Williamson; and 11 grandchildren.
Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville is handling arrangements.
