Eliza Griffis was born in Cheshire, England, on Dec. 27, 1834 and was married at Audley, England, Jan. 1, 1860 to Levi Rowley. Died in Oswalt, Iowa, Saturday, Nov. 12, 1904 aged 69 years, 10 months and 16 days. She was the mother of 14 children, all born in England. Came to America in 1883. She leaves a husband, one son and six daughters. The family have resided in this vicinity for twenty years.
