Leonard Couch, 75, Dies Wednesday; Services Monday
Leonard Couch, 75, of Mitchellville died Wednesday at Des Moines General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Ashton Chapel west of Baxter. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery.
Boyd-Nikkel funeral Home in Baxter is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; two brothers, Clifford of Helmet, Cal., and Stanley of Phillip, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Couch was a member of the Ashton Chapel. He farmed until his retirement in 1964. He was employed by the Jasper County ASCS.
The son of Charlie and Viola Wheeler Couch, he was born Nov. 2, 1902 at Collins. He was raised and educated at Phillip, S.D. where he lived until 1928 when he moved to Sioux City. He later lived in the Mingo, Bondurant, Mitchellville area.
He was married May 31, 1930 to Alice Fetterman at Sergeant Bluff, Ia.
