“A most distressing and finally fatal accident occurred at Greencastle last week. On Thursday evening, George J. Miller and Lincoln Rumbaugh engaged in a friendly wrestling match in course of which Mr. Miller was thrown, and Mr. Rumbaugh fell heavily upon him, the shock producing internal injuries which caused Mr. Miller’s death on Saturday the 6th inst. at 12 o’clock, noon. Mr. Miller was at the time suffering from an internal malady, and but for this would probably not have been injured by his fall. He was forty three years old and leaves a wife and three children, with a large circle of sorrowing friends to mourn his loss. He was a member of the Masonic lodge here, and of the Newton Masonic Protective Association from which latter his family receives $150. He was buried last Sunday by the Riverside lodge, Rev. Kern preaching the discourse.” – Colfax
