January 30, 1940 - December 5, 2022

Viola Beatrice Karr Dehne, age 82 of Monroe, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at The Cottages in Pella. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Following the service, burial will take place at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Fire and Ambulance or the Monroe United Methodist Church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of Kenneth Clyde and Vivian Estelle (Balmer) Karr, Vi was born on January 30, 1940, in Otley, Iowa. Vi was a devoted wife of 50 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was the epitome of a hard worker. Doing what was needed to provide for her family she always held two-three jobs. In 1990, she retired from Rolscreen Co in Pella, IA to pursue her true love of driving truck (Ma and Pa’s Playhouse) with the love of her life for 25 years. Aside from driving truck she also enjoyed camping with her friends' group, crocheting afghans for others, cooking, and supporting her grandchildren in all their activities. She was not afraid to give her opinion to others whether they liked it or not.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband Ron; children, Bonnie Nolin, Bettie Noah, Billie (Paula) Noah, Sue (Larry) Turner, Rita (Scott) Van Veen, Douglas (Lori) Dehne, David Dehne, Daryl (Sheri) Dehne, and Denise (Lyle) Brain; 26 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and two sisters, Janet (Hank) Kriegel and Karla (Ron) Breckenridge. Preceding Vi in death were her parents, a son, Kenneth Noah and a son-in-law, Roger Nolin.
