Former Newton Resident Dies Near Baxter
Fred Exter’s death occurred near Baxter the 14th and the funeral was held on the 17th. He was 63 years of age and was a native of Germany. He came to Newton in 1882 and lived here in the west part of town about twenty years. Then he moved to a farm two miles from Baxter where he resided until his death.
Among those from Newton who attended the funeral were: Messrs and Mesdames Fred Henning, and Carl Lenz of Kellogg and Messrs and Mesdames August Henning, Wm. Henning and Mr. Fred Henning, Mrs. Chas. Marshall and Mrs. Link Marshall of this city.
