Tuesday afternoon, May 30, at about one o’clock, J. Henning passed to the Unknown Land. His death was a surprise to a large majority of his people, who had no idea that a stout rugged man, yet in his prime, should so soon be taken from them by that old fashioned demon, which has followed the human race since creation. Mr. Henning was taken with that common to everybody grippe some time ago, and from thence on gradually faded away. – New Era (Baxter).
