Death of Former Resident
The ashes of Mrs. Eva Carter, a former Colfax resident will be interred at McKeever cemetery north of Colfax at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, April 15th. Rev. John Clinton, of Des Moines, will officiate at the graveside service.
Mrs. Carter was the wife of Allan Carter. The remains were shipped to this city from the Miehlief Funeral Home in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Graveside Rites Conducted Friday
Colfax (Special) – Graveside rites for Mrs. Allen (Eva Glen) Carter, 70, of Ann Arbor, Mich., former Colfax resident, were held Friday at the McKeever cemetery.
The Rev. John D. Clinton, Methodist pastor from Des Moines, conducted the services.
Walters Funeral Home at Colfax was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carter, who died April 7 at Ann Arbor, Mich., is survived by three sons, Guy of Humboldt, Gene, stationed with the Air Force at Elmendorf, Alaska, and Bruce of Keener, la.; and a daughter, Mrs. R. S. (Carol) LaVallee of Ann Arbor.
Mrs. Carter was born March 9, 1890 in Nebraska and was married to Allen Carter August 1910 in Fayette county, Iowa.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
