DES MOINES - Norma J. Owen, 66, of Des Moines, died Friday, Oct. 11, at Iowa Methodist Hospital. Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Norma J. Owen was born in Lynnville. She had lived in Des Moines since 1984. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a companion, Ron Weddell; her children: Arie Joe Versendaal of Newton, Dexter Versendaal of Prairie City, Judalon Meacham of Barstow, Calif., Leroy Versendaal of Starwood, Andre Versendaal of Grinnell, Mitzi Almond of Oskaloosa, Ricky Versendaal of Arkansas, Donald Jack Blair of Redmond, Wash., and Jaclyn Crawford of Des Moines; stepsons Ron Weddell of Des Moines, Chad Weddell of Des Moines and Joseph Owen of Ottumwa; two brothers: Randy Scull of Oskaloosa and Kenny Scull of Lynnville; 39 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
