MONROE — Gary D. Rinehart, 46 of Monroe died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A time of sharing will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Monroe. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 2 to 8 p.m. The family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Following visitation, his body will be cremated and burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Gary D. Rinehart Memorial Fund to be used for his children. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com .

The son of Clinton J. and Arlene M. (Eilert) Rinehart, he was born Sept. 13, 1958, in Des Moines. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1976 and worked as a mechanic at Hewitt's Service Center in Monroe for 25 years. He enjoyed working on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of ABATE of Iowa. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and tubing.

Survivors include his two children, Spencer and Sydney Rinehart; his mother, Arlene of Monroe; two brothers, Tim (Bev) Rinehart and Monte (Janet) Rinehart, both of Monroe; nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Erin Thomas and her children, Shannon Thomas and Nicholas Joint.

His father preceded him in death.
