Valery Anne (Falcone) Walton, 35, of Newton died on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A celebration of Valery’s life will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Valery’s name (checks made payable to Tim Walton) may be left at the funeral home.

Valery, the daughter of William and Beth (Klein) Falcone, was born on December 27, 1986 in Beaver, Pennsylvania. She lived in Madison, Pennsylvania until the age of 10 when they moved to Newton, Iowa. Valery graduated from Newton High School in 2005. She attended Iowa State University and later graduated with her BA from Buena Vista University. Valery worked for Windstream in Newton first as a Field Technician and most recently as a Data Analyst. She was a member of the St. Luke United Methodist Church. On February 6, 2021, Valery was united in marriage with Tim Walton in Ankeny. At that moment, Valery’s dreams of becoming a wife and a mother became true as she became a step-mom to Tim’s daughter, Kayleigh. Valery loved hiking, being out in nature, going on trips, and watching DJ car karaoke videos. She enjoyed sitting outside, talking with friends, and watching the fire on the porch. She also loved and was maybe a little obsessed with her cat, Karma.

Valery is survived by her husband, Tim Walton of Newton; step-daughter, Kayleigh Walton; her father, William Falcone of Newton; sisters, Lynna (Ben) Lukehart of Aurora, Colorado and Leslie (Kyle) Orr of Marion; her grandparents, George and Joan Klein of Darlington, Pennsylvania and Pete and Joan Falcone of Zephyrhills, Florida; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beth Brown and maternal grandmother, Carol Klein.
