William Bowers Rites Wednesday
Services for William H. Bowers, 58, Altoona, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Altoona Methodist Church, with burial at Vandalia Cemetery.
Bowers, a painter, died of a heart ailment Sunday at Veterans Hospital. He was a native of Vandalia and lived the last nine years in Altoona. He was a member of the American Legion.
Bowers is survived by his wife, Millie, and a son, Norman, both of Altoona; two brothers, Charles and C. L., both of Runnells; a sister, Mrs. Alice Brewer, and two half-brothers, Emery Brewer and Robert Brewer, all of Des Moines, and two grandchildren.
