Robert C. Hill, 69, of Laurel died of a respiratory ailment Friday at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Laurel United Methodist Church, with burial at Graham Cemetery in Mingo.
Mr. Hill was born in Jasper County and had lived in Laurel since 1956. He was a retired sheet-metal worker for Maytag in Newton and was a member of United Auto Workers and Laurel Senior Citizens.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a son, Roy of Hampton; a daughter, Jean Will of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Doris McIntire of Nevada; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon today at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown, where the family will be present from 1 to 3 p.m.
