Graveside Services Held May 16 For Arthur W. Jeffries
Arthur W. Jeffries, son of Curt and Ilene Jeffries, was born at Baxter October 31, 1926 and died suddenly Monday, May 9, 1983 at Chattanooga, Tenn.
Graveside services were held Monday, May 16, 1983 at Union Chapel Cemetery, near Ira, with Rev. Charles Luers officiating.
Mr. Jeffries graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1944 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He had a dry cleaning business in Schleswig, Iowa and lived in Ida Grove for a time in the 1950s. He was presently working at One Hour Martinizing in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Survivors include two brothers, Curtis of Ida Grove and Frank of Gooding, Idaho, one sister, Mary Patterson of Glade, Kans., two step-brothers, Leonard Wilson of Des Moines and Donald Wilson of Rhodes and one step-sister, Mrs. Marjorie King of Colo, Iowa.
