Colfax Rites for Former Resident
A. W. Ellsworth, 73, died at New Iberia, La., Wednesday evening. He had been in ill health for more time but immediate cause of death was pneumonia.
Funeral services will be held at the Hartnett funeral home in Colfax Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Mr. Ellsworth came to Jasper county from Kansas in 1894 and settled north of Colfax in Poweshiek township where he lived until 1930 when he moved to Ames and soon afterwards to New Iberia.
Surviving relatives are three daughters, Mrs. Elva Meyer of Newton, Mrs. Lola Finch of El Dorado, Ark, and Mrs. Jean Hale of New Iberia and one son, R. T. Ellsworth of New Iberia. His wife died in 1937
