Mrs. John Altes, Dead
Mrs. John Altes Jr. of Clear Creek township, died at the Anspach Sanitarium in Colfax Saturday, aged 24 years, from pneumonia, after an illness of three weeks.
The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock after which the remains will be interred in the Greencastle cemetery, at the side of her baby, who died last year.
Mazie Downey Altes was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Downey and was united in marriage to John Altes Jr., three years ago last June. Besides her husband and parents, the deceased leaves two sisters and three brothers. The bereaved husband lives on a farm near the Zion church in Clear Creek township.
