Rites Sunday For Former Resident
Funeral services for a former Huxley resident, Melvin Sydnes, 55, Baxter, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Baxter. Burial will be at Baxter. He died Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; a son, Terry, living in California; his father, Nels T. Sydnes, Des Moines; a brother, Tilmer, Huxley; five sisters, Myrtle Sydnes, Mrs. Mildred Shafer and Mrs. Pearl Parker, all of Des Moines, Mrs. Myrma Hanson, of Mingo and Mrs. Irene Carlson of Sheldahl and two grandsons.
