Lela Belle Rench, 95, Cambridge, died of a stroke Monday at the West View Care Center, Indianola. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at the Cooper Funeral Home, Maxwell, with the Rev. David Vernon officiating. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery near Mingo.
Lela Franklin was born in Jasper County, to Benjamin and Hattie (Streeter) Franklin. She married Winfield Rench, who preceded her in death July 5, 1943. She was a life-long resident of Cambridge.
Survivors include three sons, Otto, Harold and Paul, all of Des Moines, one daughter, Hazel Farnum of Des Moines; one sister, Hazel Parks of Florida; and one brother, Paul Franklin of Cambridge, 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today, Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Cooper Funeral Home, Maxwell.
