Emma Hay Rites Conducted Thursday
Funeral services for Emma Hay, 81, of Collins, a former Jasper County resident, were held last Thursday at the United Methodist Church of Farrar.
The Rev. Lester R. Hesseltine, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Morris Hay, pastor of the Hickory Grove Church, conducted the services.
Mrs. Hay, a native of Mingo, died Monday at the Des Moines Medicenter.
She is survived by two sons, Gus of Maxwell and Ted of Arizona; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Viola Lozier of Hollywood, California and a brother, Louis Geisler of Ankeny.
A longtime resident of the Collins and Baxter areas, she was born April 4, 1893 in Mingo, the daughter of John and Kathryn Geisler.
