Mingo – Jessi (Mrs. Paul) Heffelfinger of Mingo died Tuesday, Aug. 23, at her home in Mingo.
Walters-Coburn Funeral home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements which have not been completed.

Funeral services for Jessie Heffelfinger, 76, of Mingo, a longtime resident of the Mingo community, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 27, at the Mingo United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Karen Nichols, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Graham Cemetery.
The organist was Janet Altes, and the singers were Larry Hulse, Jant Altes, Gene Leonard and Marilyn Leonard.
Casket bearers were Donald Borts, James Heffelfinger, Carroll Rumbaugh, Oliver Haley, Jr., Stan Huntrods, and Tom Carlson.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home of Colfax handled arrangements.
She died Tuesday, Aug. 23, at her home.
Survivors are her husband, Paul; two sons, Jerry of Mingo and Robert of Danville; a daughter, Pauline (Mrs. Arthur) Hoopengarner of Blue Springs, Md., six grandchildren; and two sisters, Maxine Haley of Nevada and Wanda Carlson of Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a great-grandchild.
Mrs. Heffelfinger was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Church Women, Senior Women’s Club, and the Graham Cemetery Society.
The daughter of Thomas and Gertrude Long Huntrods, she was born June 15, 1912 in Story County and was a 1931 graduate of Collins High School.
She was married to Paul Heffelfinger April 4, 1934 in Newton.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Heffelfinger was a nurse’s aide at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
