Larry Lee Averhoff, 80, passed away on December 01, 2021 in Edgewood, New Mexico. He was born on February 27, 1941 in Marshalltown, Iowa to the late Hans Henry and Maxine Henrietta (Dannen) Averhoff. He survived by his wife, Evelyn Hewett Averhoff of 17 years. Two sons, Matthew (Elizabeth) and Shad (Lisa), Stepdaughters Jeanine, June, Janet and Joyce. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Larry has lived in New Mexico for 25 plus years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In his spare time Larry loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hiking but his true passion was people. He loved to visit with people and talk and listen to their stories. He served his country proud in the United States Army and was a member of his local American Legion. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Private Family Funeral Services have already taken place. Burial took place at the Mountainair Cemetery in Mountainair. NM.~ The Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, Moriarty, New Mexico 01 Dec 2021.
