Edward E. Kline Dies Sunday; Rites Wednesday
Baxter – Edward D. Kline, 65, a resident of Baxter since 1968 and a former Mingo area farmer, died Sunday morning at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. William C. Hamilton, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will conduct services.
Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery at Baxter.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
Survivors are his wife, Zulia; a son, Edward Jr. of Osceola; two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Zulia) Rhone of Baxter and Mrs. Bob (Joyce) Sutton of Milan, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a daughter in infancy.
Mr. Kline was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church in Des Moines, Ira Grange, Sand Hill Grange and the Jasper County Farm Bureau.
Mr. Kline had worked for Des Moines Ice and Fuel for a number of years.
The son of Warren D. and Cora Garrison Kline, he was born Nov. 3, 1910 near Baxter and attended Des Moines schools.
He was married to Zulia Kline June 16, 1930 at Canton, S.D.
He also had resided in Elkhart.
