D. M. Cowman Dies Wednesday; Services Friday
Prairie City – D. M. Cowman, 87, a resident of the Prairie City community since 1921, died Wednesday at the Clear View Manor in Prairie City.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, south of Prairie City.
The Rev. Oren Reger, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City is handling arrangements.
Survivors are a son, Warren I. of Prairie City; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cowman was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers.
He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
The son of Joseph and Sarah Ogburn Cowman, he was born Aug. 2, 1888 at Percy.
He was married to Emma Mae Keller June 22, 1910 at Lincoln, Neb.
