Ex-Mitchellville Resident Dies; Rites Tuesday
Mitchellville – Mrs. Charles (Wilhemina Mintha) Croll, 88, of 1801 20th in Ames, a former resident of Mitchellville, died Friday at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.
The Rev. Lester Moore, pastor of the Collegiate United Methodist Church, will conduct services.
Graveside rites will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Newton Union Cemetery.
Survivors are six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a brother, John of Adel; and a sister, Mrs. Arie Notenboom of Prairie City.
Mrs. Croll was preceded in death by her husband and two sons.
A member of the Collegiate United Methodist Church, she was formerly employed at Iowa State University and the Sheldon-Munn Hotel, both in Ames.
The daughter of William and Francene Zandermier Griffieon, she was born May 20, 1887 at Mitchellville.
She was married in 1909 at Pella.
