Celia Page, 86, Dies Friday; Services Today
Funeral services for Mrs. James A. (Celia) Page, 86, of Nelson Manor Nursing Home, a resident of Newton for 62 years, were held today at the First United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Richard Bentzinger, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Toland-Wallace Funeral Home handled arrangements.
She died Friday afternoon at the Nelson Manor.
Survivors are two sons, Bernard Page of Minneapolis, Minn., and Wilbur Page of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Ruby) French of Newton and Mrs. Norris (Alberta) Nevein of Phoenix, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Phil (Jean) Hoffman of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Mrs. George (Maureene) Greene of Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Nov. 14, 1968; a son, Raymond, Dec. 23, 1975; seven brothers, and two sisters.
Mrs. Page was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Birthday Club.
The daughter of Andrew and Agnes McConkey McRoberts, she was born March 12, 1889 in What cheer.
She was married to James A. Page Sept. 22, 1906 at Hamilton.
