Ethel Keeton, Former Kellogg Resident, Dies
Mrs. Claude T. (Ethel S.) Keeton, 85, of 802 Park St., Grinnell, a former resident of Kellogg, died Sunday at the Grinnell General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell.
The Rev. Philip J. Ramstad, pastor of the Grinnell United church of Christ (Congregational) will conduct the services.
Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Sam (Flora) Fiser of Kellogg, Mrs. Glen (Amanda) Stewart of Kellogg and Mrs. Clarence (Minnie) Smith of Grinnell; a number of nieces and nephews including Mell Heck of Kellogg ad Vera P. Braley of Kellogg; and a great-niece, Mrs. Patricia Gibson Warren of Ontario, Calif. who was raised in the Keeton home.
The daughter of Cyrus A. and Martha E. Williams Sloan, she was born Oct. 1, 1890 in Edmonson County, Kentucky, and attended Kentucky schools, moving to Kellogg in 1910.
She was married in 1912.
