Dayton Eden, Former Newton Resident, Dies
Dayton Eden, 76, of Columbus Junction, a former Newton resident, died Thursday morning at the hospital in Washington.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Columbus Junction. Burial will be in Columbus Junction.
Survivors are a daughter, Donna Eden of Columbus Junction; two brothers, Oscar of Embassy Manor in Newton and Clayton of Iowa City; and two sisters, Frances Bean of Ainsworth and Lucy Burmeister of Blue Gross.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred on May 12, 1970, five brothers and a sister.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Eden, he was born in March 1900 in Lone Tree.
