Glenn Daugherty Dies Friday; Services Today
Vandalia – Funeral services for Glenn Harold Daugherty, 67, of Vandalia, a lifelong resident of the Vandalia and Runnells communities and manager of the McKlveen Lumber Yard in Runnells for 25 years, were held today at the Vandalia Church of Christ.
Evangelist Thomas Dennis Conducted services. Burial was in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City handled arrangements.
Survivors are his wife, Dawn; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Melba) Ingle of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Dale (Dorothy) Van Maanen of Prairie City; two stepchildren, Clifford Duckstein of Prairie City and Mrs. Ray (Helen) Wilson of Prairie City; a brother, Walter of Prairie City; and a sister, Mrs. Russell (Grace) Wallace of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Mr. Daugherty was a member of the Vandalia Church of Christ where he had been an elder for 2 years and president of the Vandalia Cemetery Association.
The son of James and Rebecca Pulver Daugherty, he was born Sept. 9, 1908 in Vandalia and was a 1926 graduate of Runnells High School.
He was married to Dawn Quigley Mar. 11, 1931 at Bethany, Mo.
