Vivian Wegele Dies Tuesday; Rites Friday
Colfax – Mrs. Edward (Vivian Ruth) Wegele, 55, a resident of Colfax for 30 years, died Tuesday at her home in Colfax.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Murray Thompson, pastor of the Colfax Presbyterian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Edward John of Bondurant; a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Elizabeth Ann) Erlandson of Tarpin Springs, Fla.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Esther Lundeen of Minneapolis, Minn.
Mrs. Wegele was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Colfax, Pocahontas Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary.
The daughter of John Victor and Josephine Bergman, she was born Oct. 30, 1920 in Des Moines and was a 1937 graduate of East High School in Des Moines.
She was married May 13, 1942 in Des Moines.
