Kathleen H. (Emery) Julander, 85, of 712 1st Ave. W. died of complications of pneumonia Sunday, Nov. 3, at Skiff medical Center in Newton.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Newton with Father Phil Cardenzana officiating. The body has been cremated. Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.
There will be no visitation. Memorials will be accepted to Skiff Medical Center Auxiliary and may be left at the funeral home.
The daughter of Thomas W. and Ethel M. (Foster) Emery, she was born Sept. 3, 1917, in Greeley, Neb. She was a graduate of Greeley High School. On June 24, 1939, she married Charles A. Julander in Omaha, neb. Mrs. Julander was a homemaker and food service worker for Newton Community Schools at Washington Elementary School. She was a resident of Newton since 1946 and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Society and Sacred Heart Choir.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen M. Moffitt of Newton; one grandchild; a sister, Rosemary Seitz of Omaha, Neb.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas J. and Joy Emery of Randolph, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son and daughter in infancy.
