March 07, 1959 ~ February 28, 2022 (age 62)

Michael William Blythe, 62, of Kellogg died on February 28, 2022, at his home. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in Mike’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Mike was born on March 07, 1959, in Grinnell, lowa, to Elmer and Mary Ellen (Leach) Blythe. Mike attended Kellogg and Newton schools graduating in 1977. He worked for the Maytag Corporation for 26 years and most recently for Per Mar Security. He was united in a marriage with Brenda (Bennett) Blythe in July 1977. They were married for 20 years and had two sons, Lee and Forrest. Mike loved rock music and was always excited to find new bands he liked. He was a Green Bay Packers Gold Package season ticket holder and loved going to the games at Lambeau Field with the love of his life, Barb McClure, and his boys.

Mike is survived by his significant other of 25 years, Barbara McClure of Kellogg; his sons, Lee (Emily) Blythe of Pardeeville, Wisconsin, and Forrest (Josie) Blythe of Ames; brother Patrick (Donna) Blythe of Reasnor; sister Susan (Paul) Ponder of Prairie City; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mary Ellen Blythe, and sister, Patricia Blythe.
