Erma Kintz, 79, of 1800 W. Fourth St. N. apt. 21C in Newton, formerly of Colfax, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
A funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Community Heights Alliance Church, 1000 E. 12th St. in Newton. Burial will be at Colfax Cemetery in Colfax. Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Jasper County Hospice. Online condolences may be sent to www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The daughter of Frank and Maude (Laird) Annis, she was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Colfax. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1944. On April 14, 1946 she married Robert P. Kintz of Leon. They lived in Colfax until 1969 when they moved to Downerville, Calif. She moved back to Newton in 1997.
Survivors include four children, Michael (Marilyn) Kintz of Elk Grove, Calif.; Dennis (Deneise) Kintz of Greenfield, Douglas Kintz of Newton, and Bryon (Susan) Kintz of Sun City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Annis of Texas; and two sisters Edith Peters of Corvallis Ore., and Joyce Patterson of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and seven brothers and sisters.
