Jo Ellen Clair, age 74, passed away on January 14, 2022 in Newton after a hard battle with COVID pneumonia. She was born on December 19, 1947 to James P. and Ellen Viola Allison.

Jo Ellen is survived by two brothers, Denny and Steve and 1 sister Diane. She had many many nieces and nephews. Jo grew up in Albia and Newton. She loved life and all of her family and friends. She loved to color, go fishing, and telling stories of her past with her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Newton and Albia in June, and the obituary will be updated with the dates and times.
