David Kyle Crady
July 2, 1967 ~ January 29, 2022 (age 54)

David Kyle Crady, 54, of Newton died on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Northern Mahaska Specialty Care in Oskaloosa. A private family celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials in David’s name may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (checks made payable to Ashley Clark).

David, the son of Don and Wendy (Kono) Crady, was born on July 2, 1967 in Newton. He grew up in Newton and then moved to Colfax; graduating in 1986. In high school he was an accomplished wrestler and track runner. Growing up he also enjoyed riding horses. After high school, David completed the electrical program through Meisner Electric. He worked as an electrician and then later in sales, selling Yellow Page ads for Summit Publications. David lived in Kansas for many years before returning to Iowa in 2016. David loved all sports and enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Cubs. He also liked riding his bike and had completed RAGBRAI many times. David loved fishing, camping, cooking, and attending his grandchildren’s events.

David is survived by his children, Chelsie (Dylan) Slycord of Newton, Ashley (Cory) Clark of Newton, and Cole Crady of Kansas; grandchildren, Olivia, Hudson, Grahm, Harrison, Stella, Rilee, Gaven, and Kolten; his parents, Don and Wendy Crady of Amelia Island, Florida; siblings, Jodi Crady of Kansas, Steven (Dawn) Crady of Amelia Island, and Nichole Crady of Kansas; and his nieces and nephews, Amanda, Skyler, Scott, Devan, Courtney, and Zoey. He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Kono, Grandma Crady; and his cousin, Scott Halter.
