Funeral Services Held For Oswalt Resident Monday
Colfax, Jan. 11 – Special to The Daily News – Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 9, for Mrs. Blaine Smith of Oswalt, who died Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Colfax Sanitarium following an operation.
Mary Lincoln Smith was born in Tipton, Ia., and lived there until recently, the family coming to Oswalt last fall. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, her father, three sisters and five brothers. Most of the brothers and sisters live in or near Tipton. The family is said to have claimed relationship to Abraham Lincoln and came to Iowa from Indiana.
The funeral services were held at the Cutter-Hartnett Funeral home with Rev. L. C. McDonald officiating. Interment was made at McKeever cemetery.
