Rites for Mrs. Isabel Palmer To Be Saturday
Isabel Clark Palmer, 95, died yesterday at a Newton nursing home.
Mrs. Palmer was born July 17, 1853, at Blanford, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of John and Ann Clark. She was married to Clement Palmer, Sept. 28, 1874 at Toulon, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Palmer lived in Illinois until 1837 and then moved to Jasper county and lived in the Ira neighborhood until 1935.
Survivors include two sons, Clyde L. Palmer of Belle Plaine and R. J. Palmer of Mitchellville; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie L. Scott of Shelbina, Mo.; two brothers, Joe Clark of Red Oak and Will Clark of Omaha, and one sister, Mrs. Mary E. Wilson of Denver, Col. Her husband, parents, a son, Winfred and an infant son preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Union Chapel church near Ira. Prayer services at 1:30 o’clock at the Moffitt Funeral Home in Mitchellville will precede the church rites. Rev. G. L. Hufstader of Winterset will officiate. Burial will be in the Union Chapel cemetery.
