H. A. Brunner, 76, Lifelong Vandalia Resident, Dies
Prairie City – Funeral services for Harry Albert (Dick) Brunner, 76, a lifelong resident of the Vandalia community, at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Prairie City Christian church.
The Rev. James Martin, minister of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Vandalia cemetery.
Walters funeral home at Prairie City is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brunner is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James D. Brooks of Modesto, Calif.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a brother, Dr. Walter J. Brunner of Akron, Iowa.
Mr. Brunner was preceded in death by his wife.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brunner, he was born October 19, 1884 south of Prairie City in the Vandalia community.
He was married April 16, 1913 to Theresa Deere.
Mr. Brunner was found dead at his home Saturday.
