It is with our deepest regret that we announce the death of Cindy Sue Quinn, 56, daughter of the late Harry and Pauline Quinn. Cindy was born September 1, 1958, in Des Moines and died in Ames on Saturday, January 10, 2015, of pancreatic cancer, which she bravely battled for two and one-half years.
Cindy's funeral will be Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 11 a.m., at First Christian Church, 611 Clark Street, Ames. It was Cindy's request to be cremated. Interment of Cindy's ashes will be at Vandalia Cemetery, to be scheduled on a warm sunny day next spring.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and brother Patrick of Des Moines, grandparents, Leslie and Violet Quinn of Colfax, Ross Erskin and Esther Erskin Hall of Des Moines.
Cindy is survived by her partner, Anita Lee, four siblings, Harry, Lou, Joey and Dan; her niece Sara; her nephews Tom, Mick, Chad, Dublin and Tanner, as we as great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins, extended family members and friends. Cindy will also be sorely missed by her friend Marva, her Boone racing friends and her little dog Dolly.
