It is with deepest regret that we announce the death of Patrick James Quinn, son of the late Harry and Pauline Quinn. Patrick passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006, of pancreatic cancer, which he had battled for months. Patrick was 46 years old. Patrick had been employed at Schaal Furnace Company, Bell Brothers, Northwestern Bell, Perkins and IKON Office Solutions.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 from 10(sic) to 7 p.m. Family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home at 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services to celebrate Patrick’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia, IA, a short distance from Des Moines. Dress code: casual, colorful and cheerful, please!
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Leslie and Violet Quinn of Colfax, Ross Erskin and Esther Erskin Hall of Des Moines. Patrick is survived by his five siblings, Harry Lou, Jo, Cindy and Danny; his niece Sara; his nephews Tom, Mick, Chad, Dublin and Tanner, great nieces Anna and Abby and his great nephew Tadg, as well as numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to AIDS Project of Central Iowa’s Food Pantry, one of the recipients of Patrick’s tireless fund raising efforts.
