Melva Rose, 60, died on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Hosptial. A private graveside service is planned. Melva was born January 26, 1948 to Melvin and Wynona Blood in Runnells. She was a member of Altoona United Methodist Church and worked as a teacher’s aide at Southeast Polk High School. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren. Melva is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Matt) Millard; grandchildren, Jaxson and Hannah Millard; sisters, Louise (Billie) Beattie, Mary Lou Gilson, and Velda (Ed) Kinney; and many nieces; nephews; and beloved friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
