Henry Hoffman, 76, of 909 E. Twenty-sixth Court died of cancer Monday at Iowa Methodist Hospital. He had been ill about three years.
Mr. Hoffman, a retired railroad employe, was born in Muscatine and lived also in Wilton Junction before moving to Des Moines 25 years ago.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Brethren Church of which he was a member, with burial in the Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia, Ia.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife, Gertrude M.; a brother, Ed of Muscatine, and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Reed of Waverly, Mrs. Pauline Creager of Sumner and Mrs. Elizabeth Keller of Des Moines.
The body is at Grandview Funeral Home.
