Vandalia – David Charles Hinckley, 43, of Vandalia, died Sunday, Nov. 11, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Prairie City First Reformed Church.
The Rev. James Seibert, pastor of the Prairie City United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Cynthia and Tina, both at home; a son, Tom, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hinckley of Prairie City; and two sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Danley of Algonquin, Ill., and Mrs. Linda McReynolds of Prairie City.
Also surviving are three half-sisters, Linda Smith, Cindy Morris and Lorene Mills, all of Des Moines.
Mr. Hinckley, an employee of Inland Mills of Des Moines, served for three years in the Army in Germany. He also had been employed at Caldwell Elevator in Prairie City for a number of years.
A 1960 graduate of Prairie City Community High School, he was married to Margaret Koenig July 5, 1963 in Germany.
