Addie Gulling dies Tuesday; rites Friday
Mrs. Blake (Addie A.) Gulling, 69, a resident of Mitchellville for 25 years and former Runnells resident, died Tuesday evening at the Des Moines General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Walter-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Survivors are a son, Dean of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three grandchildren; four sisters, Lusetta Ware and Ruth Gulling, both of Prairie City, Irene Van Horn of Granger and Helen Miller of Orange, Calif.; and a brother, Colonel Curry of Runnells.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1972, two brothers and two sisters.
The daughter of Ben and Emma McKinley Curry, she was born Feb. 3, 1912 near Runnells.
She was married June 16, 1934 in Des Moines.

Services for Addie A. Gulling, 68, of Mitchellville were held Friday, August 14, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City, with burial in Vandalia Cemetery southwest of Prairie City.
Mrs. Gulling collapsed while mowing her lawn Tuesday, August 11, and died of a heart attack at Des Moines General Hospital emergency room.
Born in Polk County, she lived in Mitchellville for 25 years. She also lived in the Runnells area.
Survivors include a son, Dean of Chattanooga, Tenn.; four sisters, Lusetta Ware and Ruth Gulling, both of Prairie City, Irene Van Horn of Granger, and Helen Miller of Orange, Calif.; and a brother, Colonel Curry of Runnells.
