Doran Gross, 84, passed away at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House on Thursday, June 14, 2006. Graveside services will be private.
Doran was born in Des Moines and graduated from North High School before serving his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Following his service, he worked as a Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until retirement.
Doran is survived by his wife of 59 years, Germaine Gross; son, Rick Gross; daughter, Sara (Mike) Frahm; granddaughter Denise (Miguel) Vazquez; great grandson, Sage Vazquez; and great granddaughter, Matiana Vazquez.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
